Nvidia have officially decided to ban us from receiving GeForce Founders Edition GPU review samples Their reasoning is that we are focusing on rasterization instead of ray tracing. They have said they will revisit this "should your editorial direction change". More to come

So the "RTX 4090" for laptops has 40% fewer CUDA cores, is clocked at least 20% lower, has a 33% smaller memory bus and VRAM capacity (and uses GDDR6 instead of 6X) vs the desktop 4090. So please enlighten me how this is an RTX 4090

In 2013, AMD released the Radeon HD 7730. It had a $60 MSRP and supported video encoding. It's now 2022. AMD is selling you a 6500 XT for $200 without video encoding support. Embarrassing stuff

Guys I get it, you can't buy an RTX 3080/3090 and that sucks. But reviewers aren't the problem. We're also trying to do you a solid by testing every model we can (it's a lot of work), we do this so when you can buy one you're armed with as much information as possible.

Classic AMD move. Release GPU at bad price ensuring it gets bad reviews and negative coverage. Make sure everyone's first impression of their launch is bad. Then lower the price within months to where it should have been, after all the damage has been done

I spent over a week on my RTX 4080 vs 7900 XTX 50+ game benchmark video, and when I say a ‘week’ I mean 7 days, minimum 16 hours per day. It was one of my most successful bench videos of 2022, to-date it’s made me about $6 US per hour for the work that went into it.

GPU pricing is falling off a cliff right now. Locally the "ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming OC" was $2299 yesterday, today a few retailers have slashed it to $1499 AUD. That's 35% off over night. (kick in the capacitors if you bought one yesterday)

I've just finished testing 44 GPUs in CoD MW2 (video tomorrow) and there are some interesting results. For example you know the Radeon RX 5700 XT which was meant to fall victim to its 'outdated architecture'? Yeah well it's almost 60% faster than the 2060 Super at 1080p & 1440p.

@Dachsjaeger I'm not advocating for people to ignore the 3070 series, I'm merely pointing out that it could be a heavily compromised experience in a few years time when compared to competing products. That seems very reasonable given the specs.
