BTW, this isn't a statement about the ethics of it. Using other people's work without permission is wrong. These are objective truths about the future of the technology. It's unlikely that artists will be able to "opt-out" either, since anyone can train on any image.

Real, human, hand-drawn art will ALWAYS be valuable. The talent and effort mean something. All of these protests and Twitter threads about how bad it will be for artists are only raising more awareness that it exists. "Protesters" are creating a whole new army of "AI artists."
