I really don't know what upsets me more. A rider of mine gets hit by a car in a race. Then it's brushed off as it's part of racing, and it's been like this forever. Or not a single person came up to apologise to the rider that was hit by a car. I had 8 guys contact me regarding…
@HansenAdam
The Commissaires have no possibility to sanction or investigate after the race. It's the
@UCI_cycling
administration that can investigate and bring the case before the disciplinary commission.
@HansenAdam
Wow pathetic response Adam
The number of cars and motorcycles is getting ridiculous
Hope the rider is ok
Keep on battling against the UCI weak as water
@HansenAdam
“He didn’t do it intentionally” hardly serves as an explanation. Most traffic accidents happen “unintentionally”, but the one “at fault” will usually at least have to involve his/her insurance, and may even have to present before court…
@HansenAdam
Not the first or the last episode. Needs a review body that can analyse and make recommendations.
Hold on! This has been done skrwsfy for some years. Yes F1!
@HansenAdam
If its too dangerous for a Convoy and safety cant be guaranteed, maybe it's time we find safer roads or find different roads for team cars to follow and make use of the neutral support
@HansenAdam
Always amazes me more accidents don’t happen the way team cars are driven. Why does it always seem to be the driver handing out the food and bottles, surely they need to be concentrating on the road ahead. Sorry to hear about your rider, hope there ok.
@HansenAdam
It's insane that sports directors still insist on driving. It's their job to watch the race on the screen and dictate tactics, there's no way they can do that while safely driving down a mountain pass at 80kph with riders centimetres off the back off the car, overtaking, etc
@HansenAdam
Amateurs races are also scary. I saw lot of riders beeing almost killed by "managers".
Not a single consequence for them and generally they arent sorry at all.
@HansenAdam
@300wNeilW
Lawyer up and make a big deal of it.
Till someone does, it will always be brushed off.
Riders need to also demand the DS are not drivers. Drivers need to just concentrate on driving, not handing out bidons, bars etc etc.
@HansenAdam
Team managers should not be driving. The driver in the team car should only be paid as a driver and have a code of conduct to maintain. Team managers are way too distracted to drive safely. You see it all the time.
