Seeing some negativity on this - I’ve been to open calls before where I’ve waited in the cold and rain all day and not even been seen at the end of it - this is making theatre more accessible and is a also great way to get people excited about a show in a struggling industry!.

Just to confirm, this is a situation that I (and several other people) have been put in by a theatre producer. They decided option A was the best thing to do and lots of cast, crew, band, creatives etc have been left with no pay for the work they’ve already done. Awful.
THREAD: Okay little analogy here…. You have a business and you employ 10 people, they are due to be paid £100 each. It comes to pay day and you only have £100 in the account to pay all your staff. What do you do?. 1/3.
