From the hot Calgary housing market to the cooling Toronto one, real estate varies widely by region.
By comparing Oct. sales-to-new-listing ratios (SNLR) for Canadian cities it is clear that the Ontario real estate market is freezing.
Note:
SNLR > 60% Seller's market
SNLR < 40%…

Unfortunately Ottawa's data for October is not yet available. However, my guess is that Ottawa's SNLR should be between 45% to 50% for the Oct. It was 42% for Sept.

great insight. Any idea where one could get this data for Interior / Okanagan BC? I understand it's not a big enough market to warrant a bar entry but curious if you know of a source
