It's #WorldBrailleDay! This day is celebrated every year because it is Louis Braille’s birthday, the inventor of braille, who became blind after a childhood accident. When he was just 15 years old, he created the six-dot cell system we know today as braille.

Following the new restrictions announced today for Scotland & England, the College advises that optometrists should continue to follow the Amber guidance, & prioritise emergency & essential cases. Further info on this, & the impact on the Scheme & Jan OSCE, will follow tomorrow.
