It is with very mixed emotions that Ham Radio Outlet bids farewell to Anaheim Store Manager, Janet Margelli (Kl7MF), who retires today. Janet has been with HRO for 38 years and has excelled in every way. We wish her every happiness and we will miss her terribly! Thank you, Janet!
What is the ham radio response to the disaster happening in Maui right now? Where are the hams in their orange vests? Where is the ARRL? Are HF operators handling traffic? How would YOU help?
Congressmen Bill Johnson and Joe Courtney reintroduced a bill in the US House of Representatives to remove private land use restrictions that prohibit, restrict, or impair Amateur Radio operators from operating and installing reasonable antennas.
ARRL reports that earlier today, the FCC Commissioners unanimously voted to amend the Amateur Radio Service rules to replace the baud rate limit on the Amateur HF bands with a 2.8 kHz bandwidth limit to permit greater flexibility in data communications.
If the recent Facebook "misconfiguration" taught us anything, it's that there are many activities to discover in ham radio. What am I missing from the list? Where are you active and what mode(s) do you plan on trying next?
Loving the look on Carter's face (KN9UDF) when HRO's National Sales Manager told him to put his chores money away, because HRO was giving him his General Class License Manual.
