The conference aims to bring the scholarship on relational racialization into conversation with Romani history. We invite contributors to consider the impact of racialization on Romani communities in the nineteenth century.

ANN. The Central European History Society (CEHS) seeks applications from North American doctoral candidates (ABD) and recent PhDs (up to three years after completion of degree) in Central European history for travel and research grants of up to $4,000.

The series focuses on early modern personal narratives pertaining to cultural history (e.g. diaries, travel accounts), but it includes also documents on church organization or Bohemian serfdom.
