Over the weekend, HSI and ERO Miami arrested a Dominican national for his involvement in a maritime human smuggling operation that endangered 20 illegal aliens, including minors, by concealing them in an unsafe manner. The subject now faces removal for alien smuggling.

Michael Gordon Douglas, 48, a registered sex offender from CA, sentenced to life in federal prison for distributing CSAM & attempting to entice a minor. Convicted in 2011 for similar crimes, Douglas engaged in a standoff w/ SWAT before arrest.

Today ERO and @HSI_Miami arrested Ariochy Moran, 52, an illegal criminal alien from Cuba. Moran was convicted of attempted lewd & lascivious molestation of a child less than 12 by an adult. Moran has a final order of removal & will remain in ICE custody pending his removal.
