Front row for @sbrownehr at #SHRM24 - never ever been disappointed. Steve sessions renew your energy to serve in Human Resources. @sbrownehr changed my way of thinking and my focus for what HR is to me. It's all about the Human in human resources - our staff!.

#SHRM24 First session was great - Creating Empatheic Leaders. Rading the book I bought at the SHRM store - Find, Fix, Fill your Leadership Gap, while waiting for session two of the day.

Need help. I am moving my fundraiser (I am running a full marathon) to the Spring of 2025 & have changed the focus. I now want to raise money for the children of Veterans in our programs who cannot afford the fees/shoes for athletic programs in their schools. Need a catchy name.

A great run this morning. Getting out the door has been tougher lately but when I do get out there I love it. Five miles at a great pace.

Great run this morning. The plan is base building again for three months. Then hit speed training for three months. Then, three months of speed at distance training. That should put me in a good place for my September marathon.

A nice 5.11 miles this AM. Warm (33°F) but dark. Last mile in 7:28. I can tell I had a couple weeks off from running. Can't let that happen again.

First run in two weeks. Strained my left groin muscle on 11/10 loading all the supplies for CVI's 5th Anual Veteran's Ball. Then as that healed I managed to tear my left big toe toenail and it hurt just to walk. All healed up now so it's time to get back at it.

8.1 miles yesterday at a 8:25 pace and 6.1 today at a 7:44 per mile pace. Last mile today was at 6:51. That 6:51 is my goal marathon pace - yikes!!

That was tough - was really feeling it miles 13-16. Last 2.18 miles I pushed a little. Mile 18 was at a 7:30 pace. Overall average pace was 8:13 per mile. Next week is a cutback week 😪 I will be in phenomenal shape when I run that marathon to raise money for Veterans in need.

Building up base mileage/ endurance for a marathon takes a lot of time to do it right. Loving my @Ultraspire endurance vest - I can drink water without stopping or even slowing down. An uninspired 16 miles in the books. The @ClifBar energy chews helped get mybthrough it.

Started my day off with a fantastic run. Eight miles at a 7:29 per mile pace and it felt amazing. 338 days until my fundraising marathon.

Tough six miles this morning. It seems a quick paced 14 miler followed by lots of yard work leaves you pretty sore. Hoping to feel better by tomorrow so I can do a 2x1/4 repeat.

This morning's run should have been slower and a bit shorter as I'm in a cutback week but I whent through something yesterday and emotionally I needed a bit more effort. I won't put it out on social media.

Cut back week this week. Less miles and slower miles. 🙄 rest day yesterday and six slow miles today. Very nearly reached my goal weight of 145. Weighed in this morning at 148. Calorie reduction along with many miles is the key. Now, can I maintain this through the Holidays?
