We saved a seat at the table today at our conference meeting to celebrate the life & legacy of Mr. David Ferrenburg. All of us in the HOIC are better for knowing him and we will certainly miss him.
His stability, discipline, and passion for our conference was unmatched.

Two former HOIC athletic directors were inducted into the Illinois Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame. Charlie Lockenour (Heyworth) and Dan Wieczorek (Fieldcrest) earned this honor after years of service to their schools. Congrats to two very deserving hall of famers.

The Chiefs defeated the Hornets of Eureka by a score of 45-34.
Congratulations to Dee-Mack and Eureka in 2A and Flanagan-Cornell in 1A for advancing to volleyball sectional championships. Dee-Mack and Eureka will face one another.
Congrats to Fieldcrest boys basketball for winning the sectional championship 65-62 over Sterling Newman. The Knights will face Elmhurst Timothy Christian in the NIU Super-sectional on Tuesday.
Congrats to Eureka girls basketball for winning the super-sectional last night 54-47 over Pleasant Plains to advance to the state semifinals. The Hornets will face Chicago Harlan on Friday at 5:30 at Redbird Arena.
