According to the basic telomere dogma, mammalian telomeres shorten with age, contributing to aging phenotypes. Here, we show that mouse telomeres do not shorten with age, at least not in blood and tail. https://t.co/wUeEjyVu8P

Really cool: "Myeloid-mesenchymal crosstalk drives ARG1-dependent profibrotic metabolism via ornithine in lung fibrosis" - myeloid cells made ornithine ➡️ proline ➡️ collagen in fibroblast. Kudos Drs Yadav, Bhattacharya & team https://t.co/FMgQpfI6Vl

2/n The ➕ aspects of #AlphabetSoup update: - Well written. - Clearest figure explaining what changed. - Great examples. - DIP is dead, long live AMP!! - Introduction of Primary vs Secondary, hopefully leads to what matters most, UIP yes or not. - addition of alv filling

@jonas_schupp @KaminskiMed This has always been the modus operandi in every set of guidelines. Overly strict criteria for UIP with an odd fixation on subpleural location, as opposed to "anything goes" criteria for chronic HP, and now for BIP. Turns out many "chronic HP"s are CTD-ILDs. It's a mess!

1/n I finally read the Interstitial Pneumonias #AlphabetSoup update. Principally, I have an aversion to guidelines because I worry for wellbeing of those who participate in writing them. But. This one (while not perfect) has substantial ➕ aspects https://t.co/68oVcjrT0S

4/n New #AlphabetSoup guideline paper is written mostly by ILD docs, women & men, who have NOT participated in prev documents, who established themselves as leading experts in last decade. This. Makes me happy, even a bit optimistic Maybe #FutureIsBright despite all? Fin.
