I literally said I'd meet anytime you're in your district and yet you're not available. Why won't you meet with your constituents?

I don't agree with @CoryBooker on many policies. But I absolutely agree w/ him that the congressional authority that was given in the Constitution to prevent a dictator is being eroded so quickly, and they're trying to do the same to the courts. We are absolutely in a crisis.

If you have not watched the live stream he's laying out without inflammatory language what has been actually happening that those of us in the policy world have been screaming into the void about since January.

I rarely post here anymore b/c it's a dumpster fire. But I'm a former R who served in the 1st Trump admin, hence the former part. What @CoryBooker is doing is absolutely necessary b/c like his policies or not, we are in a constitutional crisis.

Well, for my own mental and emotional health, I'm headed over to Bluesky (I cannot take the misinformation and doom scrolling here). Fun fact, I still have the same handle @HITPolicyWonk. So feel free to follow me over there or connect on LinkedIn.

I am this morning deeply impressed with a sense of the importance and reality of divine things, and I have prayed with more fervour than usual that God would increase in me his love, and that Christ may dwell in my heart by faith, that I may pass the day in his fear and love.

This week it was made public that Ryan Corbett, who I went to college with, has been held by the Taliban for a year and a half. There's an effort to push the state dept to negotiate his release. Please review the site and consider sending a letter/email. https://t.co/FiGA6P2Cqm

In January of 2022, Ryan returned to Afghanistan to renew his business visa and to pay and train his staff. The officials that renewed his visa gave him a warm welcome and even expressed that his...

Does anyone have inside info on what's happening in Utah? NPRM R380-70. Standards for Electronic Exchange of Clinical Health Information removes X12 and NCPDP from the allowed transaction standards b/t providers & payers and requires only HL7, C-CDA, and FHIR????

Went to read the new Exec Order on AI and got completely distracted by what I can only imagine is a Haloween thing of a bat flying around the White House in the logo at the top of the page.....who in the world thought that was a good idea?

At my PCP today, had to fill out all new forms because they switched EHRs. And only SOME of my data transferred over.

Last night my teenage nieces referenced Chat GPT....I was honestly floored they knew what it was, and then they proceeded to tell me that kids in their school were using it to cheat. It's happened, I'm old.

Had my fastest doc appointment this morning in a good way. Took me in on time, doc was in a few minutes later, he quickly checked a mole & next thing I knew I was numbed up & he was slicing it off, & I was out the door. Efficient but the doc was nice & I felt taken care of.

Congrats @histalk on your 20 year anniversary! I don't know what I would do without my daily dose of news with a nice dose of snark.

All the tech questions on the monthly @sequoiaproject RCE call are really positive. It means folks are ready to get the show on the road and have some folks live.

I just had to explain to a payer AGAIN that we cannot deny a third party app access to the APIs if they sell patient data and that they legally can do so as long as their T&Cs are accurate....I really don't think this is sinking in for covered entities.
