Saying women can't choose to have abortions unless they're raped is telling them they don't earn autonomy over their own bodies until a man violates it.

Depo Povera was denied FDA approval bc animal studies showed elevated risks of breast cancer & birth defects. Despite this, Depo Povera was tested in humans, mainly low income Black women, w/out their consent. After this, Pfizer heavily marketed the shot in low income areas.
More than 1,200 women say Pfizer’s birth-control shot caused brain tumors. Now the company is using a legal defense that could stop their cases before they’re heard.

The world needs NEEDS feminism, the world desperately needs more feminists in positions of power; to create laws that protect women and girls in vulnerable positions, more importantly to safeguard existing laws that protect women and girls against those who'd have them overturned
Somalia introduced a law to set the minimum marriage age to 18, but it was overturned within 24 hours after men protested the change.

Severe menstrual cramping - if they knew what they were doing they would have checked you out for endometriosis and treated you for it. Instead they made you sicker. There needs to be more training for reproductive health conditions.
Hi. I'm one of the Black women with a tumor from this. ✋🏾 7yrs ago they prescribed it for severe menstrual cramping. I wasn't planning for children and I wanted the pain to stop, so I took it every 3 months. Tumor is benign, but it's given me other *inconvenient* issues.

A LOT more research should be conducted on birth control, and the process should be spearheaded by women! #Reproductivehealth
In case you haven’t heard: Women are suing Pfizer in a class action lawsuit because the birth control shots (Depo-Provera) have been found to cause brain tumors. 1 in 4 women use this birth control. And Black women are prescribed it at double the national rate.

It’s me again, if you “sadness” always intensifies few weeks or days to your period, if you struggle to do basic tasks like brush your teeth, get up from bed or even hangout with friends. It is not normal, PMDD is under diagnosed and most women attempt suicide…
Please keep talking about your periods and body on the internet, before my PMDD diagnosis in 2023, I didn’t know I had period induced depression God bless the sister that tweeted about it, may your ass get fatter and your wallet fatter, God bless you❤️

By the way, girlies, here are 5 things you need to know about your period 👇🏽 1. Pain that makes you faint isn’t normal. If your period pain makes it hard to stand, work, or even talk, that’s not “just how it is.” It could be endometriosis or another condition that needs medical
Most of the dumbos quoting are ignoring the first part of the tweet , just focusing on the “shame” part . Nothing is shameful about your period but honestly, you don’t need to bring it online .

No. We’ve normalized silence around periods, and it’s costing girls their education. Tomorrow at 9am, my short documentary “When Periods Keep Girls Out of School” will air on YouTube. Shame doesn’t live here 🫵🏽 https://t.co/x33ha5bFts

While we are here, let's demistify periods, shall we? Very heavy periods may indicate fibroids. No periods? Could be PCOS. VERY painful periods? Check for endometriosis. Spotting between periods? Could be fibroids. Hope this helps!

one of the best things you can do for your reproductive health is accept that nearly everything you learned about your period growing up is propaganda.
