Working on our coding skills using our @Sphero bolts. Floor is lava, can you code your bolt to stay on the boxes or chess mats until the end of the with out going over the edge… fun stuff, excitement is real when they get to the end!

4th grade STEM this week: Spaghetti noodle towers… 20 noodles, 1 meter of string and tape… how high can you get a marshmallow off of the table top? Great thinking and engineering

5th graders took on the 100 Keva plank challenge this week! Student pairs tried to make the tallest structure possible with 100 planks! Great teamwork and thinking throughout the week!

Mrs. Purcell’s class working on the bucket tower challenge… 12 straws, 1 meter of string and tape and 1 cup to see how many pennies it will hold before collapsing! Some great ideas and communication with partners!

Mr. Alvut’s class taking on the cup stacking challenge in day #2 of 4th grade STEM… student groups had to figure out how stack pyramids without using hands… they could only use string, straws and rubber bands!

Probably one of the best investments we made with our STEM funds is snap circuits by @ElencoInc Students love using them and they are great to teach parallel and series circuits! Great job Mrs Hagen’s students!
