My graduating cohort of @BucknellU teacher certification students are all getting multiple job offers for teaching positions. They're asking great questions about mentorship, class size, planning time, tuition benefits etc. and choosing to go where they will be most supported. 🧵

Encourage teachers in public service to get their loans forgiven. The Department of Education is authorized to forgive more Public Service Loan Forgiveness #PSLF than ever before.

Tell your congress members how much education funding means to you.
The President's 2023 budget includes a big investment in education and Congress is about to start work on its funding bills. Now is the time to tell your Members of Congress why #edfunding matters to you. It's easy to do! Use CEF's toolkit at https://t.co/YyNTIBBkDD

The special education teacher shortage has been a crisis for many years. Filling the pipeline is going to take exponentially more. We don't even have enough special education university faculty to prepare the next generation.

Increases in budget have not kept up with inflation. We are still at 2011 levels of funding.
Only one week until the President releases his budget request for 2023. We think it will again prioritize investments in education, which pay dividends both immediately for students and families and over the long term in greater economic growth.

The Federal Fiscal Year 22 budget is passed & the FY 23 president's budget is proposed. There are some historic increases but also places where it falls short of the critical compounding needs of the teacher shortage crisis.🧵
