#CHI2025 Coding Partner or Intruder? We designed, tested Codellaborator, a proactive AI assistant that initiates coding help. Compared to Copilot, we found:. - Faster coding, but workflow disruptions.- AI presence & local context eased confusion.- Felt more like collaborating.
