Today we pay tribute to the medical missionary and philosopher #AlbertSchweitzer on his birthday. He was the inspiration for the founding of our hospital. Dr. Schweitzer’s #reverenceforlife philosophy continues to guide our care of patients today.

11 years ago a devastating #earthquake shook #Haiti. We remember the lives lost and recognize the medical professionals & volunteers who rose up to help at Haiti’s darkest hour. For weeks afterwards, HAS provided refuge and care to many hundreds of injured patients.

Last month our social services residents organized a series of activities for kids with sickle cell anemia. HAS supports 80 kids with sickle cell anemia through quarterly clinics. Can you give a gift today to help support our patients? https://t.co/BikckyhSpc

#Oxygen therapy is the primary treatment for #COVID19 in Haiti, along with fever control and hydration. We recently received a new high-capacity oxygen generator through the generosity of our partners @CarisHaiti and @USAID_Haiti, assuring a reliable supply of oxygen.
