Well said Rob
@SimonLester24 @ChrisD222222 @TheAnfieldBuzz It’s not about the 1 game, it’s about the bigger picture of time wasting. I don’t pay to watch someone take 10 minutes to dry a ball, or a keeper to bang his stools against the goal post or walk slowly to the other end of the 6 yard box etc etc @FA_PGMOL @HACKETTREF @refsupportuk

The goalkeeper flapped at it. It was going in and should have been allowed! That’s my opinion
@HACKETTREF The two players were there interfering with Vicario If they played with a bit more intelligence then the goal should have stood

It’s the timing of when the ball is played that you should look at
@HACKETTREF He was touching him, how is he not interfering with the keeper????

I come from an age when long throw ins were the norm. We would keep an eye on both feet in or behind the line grounded of course. That would be the task of the AR. Then the be- handed throw which is of course illegal.
@RobertLowe69 @ChrisD222222 @TheAnfieldBuzz @FA_PGMOL @HACKETTREF @refsupportuk So you were vociferously championing this point on here prior to Saturdays game and that subsequent post detailing the time on those throw ins were you!

Mike you and I on the same page on this
Kind of agree with Mike here. From a technical point of view Ndiaye was not interfering with the keeper or blocking his view or anything else come to that when O'brien sent that bullet header in......and only then can VAR consider offside. Not seconds before.

Ed Milliband should be accountable for this mess
Impossible to overstate the impact this news will be having on workers and their families here in Aberdeen. Uncertainty and job losses have plagued us since the Labour Government came to power. Workers, their families and our communities deserve better.

Andy I am afraid that similar situations are not ruled out.
@Zig2023 @PaulE2Spurs @HACKETTREF this is 100% an offside offence and would be penalised on every occasion in the Premier League. Once you engage (contact) with the GK in this type of situation it will and should be penalised.

Paul the two at the point of delivery were behind the goalkeeper. I have no problem if everyone of these incidents are penalised. The truth is they are not. Inconsistency is the problem here
@Steve_Faulkner @mortenag @HACKETTREF Mate; it’s not the jostling that’s the issue, both sets of jostling were fine, imo, it’s the fact the Everton bloke was offside when doing it, if VDV had pushed Pickford from an offside position I’d say exactly the same.

Frankly I would like to see less red and yellow cards and improved pro-active preventative management. Where simulation is not penalised they should be reviewed by a panel on Monday morning and one match ban imposed. It is getting worse.
@HACKETTREF Big question in Keith… Should the laws change the “simulation” is an automatic red?….surely it would deter this blatent attempt to cheat?

Steve I agree
@HACKETTREF Thank you Mr Hackett. My analysis is it didnt meet the offside definition of interference but if that is disallowed you also have to disallow their second goal, for far greater interference.

I see contact with goalkeepers in almost every game. More often than not you going unpunished.
@daleclarke1980 @HACKETTREF He was touching the keeper, so interfering.

Wow- if we disallow this goal think of all those that have been allowed in similar circumstances
@HACKETTREF They were jostling with him, that’s interfering with play.

Look at the movement of the two Everton layers
@robsum58 @HACKETTREF It’s not about line of sight though is it, they are interfering with the keepers movement. He doesn’t get there anyway and they score it if either of them aren’t there but they are there.

Consistency is what you should deliver
@HACKETTREF Surely, that push on Pickford by van de Ven should have been penalised?

That goalkeeper was never going to save that goal. Look at almost every corner kick and the blocking that goes unpunished

@HACKETTREF Come on Keith The contact in both is similar. Neither are fouls but one is offside

I use to pick the referees in form. Then look at their exposure to any one club. I also looked at their Team they supported and where they lived.
@HACKETTREF can you explain how referees are picked for matches and how certain referees seem to get certain clubs?

The number of times we see that action in the penalty area go unpunished. It’s the inconsistency. The goalkeeper was weak subjective call VAR should have not come in
@HACKETTREF It wasn't for the the eyline was it ?Vicario is prevented from moving into a favourable position to save it. He's clearly interfering with play.
