Jeremy Rockliff is on the phone right now negotiating deals to get the cross bench on his side, whilst Labor and Rebecca White concede defeat before even entertaining the idea of working with a cross bench, one which is probably closer to their side politically than the Libs.

@GunnerTas @MayneReport Maybe they have taken the view that not all victories are worth winning.

@BrettDwyer1 @MayneReport I could see why they would want to avoid the hot potato of a traffic light coalition. But what does Labor expect to happen next election? Labor would need a monumental swing to them to even think about winning a majority. They'd need a new plan and probably a new leader.

@GunnerTas It's a poor decision. I get the feeling that there is factional infighting happening behind the scenes

@GunnerTas Jeremy Rockliff is now on the phone grovelling to all those he insulted and bagged on his campaign trying to beg forgiveness!

@GunnerTas Libs called this election because they can’t work with the cross bench. Maybe Labor is just letting them stew a bit?
