The reason is that it would harm Malaga CF and the fans to much if they would have to play the upcoming two seasons in Estadio Ciudad de Malaga with only a capacity for 12.500 fans.

OXFORD WILL BE BLANQUIAZUL. Oxford United have already sold over 175 tickets for the away stands in the Kassam Stadium, where they will face Malaga on August 2nd. The British Malaga fans are flying out from every part of the UK to see their team play in this "home match".

OFFICIAL🚨 . Malaga have signed Carlos Dotor. The Madrid-born midfielder is coming over from Celta de Vigo on loan, without any options for a longer stay. The midfielder played for Real Madrid Castilla, Celta de Vigo, real Oviedo and Sporting Gijon.

12.500 seats next seasons. With the upcoming upgrade of La Rosaleda for the world 2030 Malaga will move to Stadium ciudad de Malaga. @RadioMarcaMLG has found out that with adding some temporary stands the city is aiming for 12.500 seats for Malaga in the season 26/27.
