After months of disruption and dust, the new kitchen seems almost worth it. It just works so well and is so bright and airy compared to what was here before.

A new bump in the road with @scotiabank . My Visa card statement got changed to electronic, great! But unlike every other electronic statement, they do not notify you when one is ready for you. How are you supposed to know? I asked. No way other than to keep looking. Cripes!

I’m so old, I remember when @steelegr as Finance Minister tried to put an end to “March Madness” spending by provincial agencies at this time of year. From the ads I’m seeing on YouTube and elsewhere, those days are gone. #useitorloseit

My @Eastlink Tivo cable is down and I can’t get a response from @EastlinkSupport either. Anyone in Dartmouth with their TiVo product having a similar problem?

Simply remarkable what gets unearthed when you renovate. This used to be such a great festival run by @theNSLC . For some reason this untouched novelty scotch whisky was with it.

For the handful of people who still watch linear television, the new specialty channels that replaced a bunch of Discovery ones are even worse than the originals. Would have never thought that could be possible, but a Cash Cab marathon is pretty good proof.

People can grumble about certain aspects of CBS, NBC or Fox #NFL broadcasts, but all are head and shoulders above the ESPN/ABC B-team broadcast. Thankfully we get Buck-Aikman on the late game.

Also from the Armview lunch yesterday: at an adjacent table who should appear but former St Pat's High classmates from 1973(!), Peter Ross and his spouse Karen. Great to chat with them.

A fun lunch meetup today with a few former NSLC colleagues from a decade ago. The venue was the Armview and it was very good. Was surprised how busy it is on a Monday!

I dislike everything Bell-related, but have to admit their current “art gallery” commercial with the gravel-voiced curator makes me laugh.

I like the Netflix presentation of the NFL mostly. Seems like a CBS production with a few new voices. Olsen still talks too much. The studio show has 3 winners with Kay Adams, RG III and Manta T’eo.

Made a quick run to DC Cdn Tire to pick up a couple of things. Traffic not awful, parking lot fine. Got inside and it seemed like every member of the anti-destination league was there. The rapture must have descended upon them.

There’s a short Cartier spot running on YouTube over the last month with a lovely young lady in a red dress dancing up a flight of stairs with a music combo accompanying her. Once I saw the musicians were just poorly simulating playing their horns it’s all I see.

Continuing on the grocery theme, I have been looking w/o success for my annual purchase of an iced/marzipan dark fruitcake. Anyone see them?

Thoughtlessly visited Sobeys on Windsor st to pick up a few things. Totally slammed with people buying either Christmas or apocalyptic storm groceries. Silly me.
