Bilal Coulibaly shined w/ 16 points and 3 blocks in his impressive season debut. But the Wizards still lack a true PG. And with 23 turnovers against OKC, it showed. My thoughts on Thursday’s 127-108 loss to the Thunder, Bub Carrington’s struggles & more: https://t.co/Cutj1sztNR

Alex Sarr through five games: 18.4 PPG | 8.6 RPG | 4.0 APG | 2.0 BPG 53.6% FG | 42.9% 3pt | 85.7% FT Small sample size, but the 20-year-old big man looks much improved 📈

FINAL | OKC 127, WAS 108 McCollum: 19 PTS Coulibaly: 16 PTS Sarr: 14 PTS Washington held tough through three quarters but was dominated in the 4th. Turnovers (23) hurt the Wizards. Impressive season debut for Bilal Coulibaly, who looked terrific on both ends. Wiz fall to 1-4.

Two continuing problems for Kyshawn George, fouls and turnovers. He's got five of each today. The first is a byproduct of his aggressive defense. The latter could be one of the downsides of running offense through a point forward.

The Wizards have turned the ball over 19 times. The Thunder? Just 4.

Wizards and Thunder trading buckets to close the 3rd quarter. 92-84, OKC. Bilal Coulibaly has looked awesome through three quarters. Leads the team w/ 16 points on 6-10 FG. Washington has stuck around to keep this a game entering the final quarter. Great effort from this group.

Kyshawn George’s outside jumper has looked terrific through five games. He’s got 12 points on 3-5 3pt tonight. Is shooting above 50% from three this season. Impressive jump after shooting 32% 3pt as a rookie.

HALFTIME | OKC 59, WAS 49 Coulibaly: 12 PTS Whitmore: 7 PTS George: 6 PTS Bilal Coulibaly looks terrific. He has a team-high 12 pts on 5-8 FG (2-5 3pt) and has done well as the primary defender on SGA. The issue: SGA is torching every other Wizards defender.

Wizards trail 28-20 after Q1. Nice first stint for Bilal Coulibaly, who tallied an emphatic block and a dunk in 6 mins. Wizards offense has been stagnant. Clearly lacking a true PG to initiate action and create open looks. Also of note: SGA is very good. 13 pts on 5-9 FG.
