Our STEM club learned so much from our biomedical scientist Erica today. We extracted DNA from strawberries and got to use lots of intresting chemicals and equipment.#WomenInSTEM #biomedicalresearch

At STEM club today we were joined by Lybah, a former student now studying to be a biomedical scientist. The girls were very inspired by the former Greenmountaineer. We then made models of skeletal and muscular system of the hand. #STEM #womeninSTEM #BiomedicalScienceDay2025

Some of our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic morning at the Headingley Experience yesterday with @LeedsWellSchool. We enjoyed taster sessions for Goalball and Wheelchair Rugby and had a brilliant tour of Headingley Stadium!

In STEM club we used our knowledge of food chains to do some companion planting. We planted marigolds to attract useful pollinating insects and carnivorous insects like ladybirds and hoverflies to eat all the pests and protect our mini veg gardens #STEM #womeninSTEM #gardeningX
