We welcomed the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Asghar Khan to Greenmount this morning. He has lived in Beeston for 40 years. He told us all about his life and answered some interesting questions from Year six. He inspired us to be the best we can be.

Mrs Redshaw and Miss Hubbard met the Curriculum Officer in Meru. Then they taught some music lessons with grades 1 and 2 and SEN children. Followed by a story time of Roald Dahl for the older children. They then finished the day teaching the children their first swimming lesson!

Update on day 2..Miss Hubbard and Mrs Redshaw travelled upto Meru to our link school. They got such a warm welcome from Rwanyange primary school. They had great fun sharing all about Greenmount Primary school in a staff meeting in the sunshine.

What an amazing first day. Some children went orienteering, others for a walk and the final group went caving. We then went for a night walk. I think all of the fresh air must of tired them out as amazingly they were all asleep by 9:30!
