At the heart of sustainability is cutting down on waste. We're really excited to work with @TooGoodToGo to help minimise food waste and offer staff at the RD&E food at a reduced cost

Happy cycle to work day 😊 Can you encourage family members or work colleagues to try cycling to work? At our Trust we have try before you buy e-bikes from Volt and Brompton, secure cycling storage, showers and battery charging facilities at NDDH.

Today is cycle to work day! We've been improving our facilities this year to make cycling a better option. We've also loaned e-bikes to staff who want to see if it works for their commute. Pedal power to the people!✊🚲

It was inspiring to see on my walk around with @GreenRoyalDevon that since I suggested the idea of wildflower meadows at @RoyalDevonNHS that the sustainability team has continued to improve. Wildflower meadows are some of the most biodiverse habitats in the UK.

Cycling not only keeps you fit and active, but it's also a green choice with a positive impact on our planet. By choosing to cycle, you reduce air pollution, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and help combat climate change. So go greener and give cycling a go!

Recycling is a simple yet effective way to ensure you are doing your bit for the environment at home. By recycling, you help to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill and preserve our natural resources as materials to make new items are used from recycled products.

Don't forget - we have two bike maintainence stands installed at RD&E (Wonford) and NDDH. Equipped with essential tools such as spanners and pumps, they're a handy one-stop shop for on-site bike maintenance and repairs. More information about locations is on our website.

According to the UN, 50 million tonnes of e-waste - items with plugs, cables or batteries - is produced each year, with 80% of this ending up in landfill. By recycling our e-waste, we can make sure these items avoid landfill. Find out where to recycle: https://t.co/TuQG8k5HB8
