Our nationally-awarded “Volunteers in Police Service” program has 58 VIPs. Those who serve in vehicle patrol are an extra pair of eyes in neighborhoods to do vacation checks, place road blocks during car wrecks, and give stranded motorists a helping hand!

These Grapevine Police volunteers earned the Bronze presidential award at their annual Volunteers In Police Service banquet last month. 22 of our VIPS were honored for volunteering between 100 and 249 hours in 2023. Each of their contributions is greatly appreciated.
We're proud to participate in the Medal of Honor Motorcade. The recipients will be passing through our city on their way to Gainesville. We are grateful to these heroes and honor them with unending respect. Expect delays in the area as the 8-9 mile long motorcade passes.
Today we commend our police volunteers who help at Special Olympics events, city festivals and outside agency and school district trainings. They build structures, distribute merchandise, or oversee portions of the event for its overall success.

Here's a look at our police volunteers, known as VIPS, who received the Silver presidential award at their annual Volunteers In Police Service Banquet last month. 15 individuals earned Silver for volunteering between 250 and 499 hours in 2023. We appreciate all of them!
The Grapevine range is a place where volunteer Ed Peters preps and secures the training facility and oversees scheduling of sessions for new and experienced officers. We appreciate his attentive nature and dedication to the department as one of our VIPS.

This week we celebrate our Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) during National Volunteer Week. Last month these eight individuals earned a Gold presidential award for volunteering over 500 hours each in 2023. We could not be as successful without their help and we thank them.

Thank you to all of the agencies in Tarrant County supporting victims of crime. We were honored to attend the National Crime Victims' Rights Week event today in Fort Worth and appreciate all who make a difference in helping people navigate the criminal justice system.
Today marks the start of National Crime Victims' Rights Week. This year's theme asks all of us how we can help crime victims. Thank you to Mayor William D. Tate for issuing a proclamation, and thank you to our Victim Services Advocate Makayla Moore for supporting our community.
We redesigned the dispatch room with our emergency communications specialists in mind. The reconfiguration promotes teamwork by rotating away their walls of monitors. We value our dispatchers and continue thinking of them this National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
