UPDATE: #VPDNews: Vancouver Police investigates mass casualty incident at neighbourhood block party A suspect has been arrested by Vancouver Police after several people were killed and multiple others injured at a neighbourhood street party in South Vancouver earlier tonight.

At this time, we are confident that this incident was not an act of terrorism.

UPDATE: A 24-hour assistance centre has been established at the Douglas Park Community Centre, 801 West 22nd Avenue. Vancouver Police officers and Victim Services professionals have been deployed to help anyone who has not been able to contact a loved who was at the Lapu Lapu

A current reminder to not drive around the barricades placed out on the roadways. Water can be deep and the consequences can be devastating. Luckily the occupants in this vehicle along Livingstone Ave were unhurt.

AbbyPD continues to evacuate stranded motorists along Highway #1 between Sumas Way and Whatcom Road. A large amount of passenger cars have been cleared. AbbyPD is working to now clear the commercial vehicle traffic. Highway 1 remains closed.

Sumas Prairie and the rising water levels are changing hourly. The first photo was taken at 11:42am with the second being taken at 4:27 pm. In just over 4 hours, the water had risen significantly. #Abbotsford

Whatcom Road & North Parallel Road intersection fully closed. AbbyPD members on scene just provided this picture. SAR members utilizing boats to evacuate citizens trapped in the area.

UPDATE - Reception Centre Change - Do the size limitation and access issues to the Abbotsford Recreation Centre, as of midnight on November 15, we have moved the Abbotsford reception center to the Tradex located at 1190 Cornell Street adjacent to the Abby International Airport

An AbbyPD member moments ago conducted a water rescue within the Sumas Prairie. A veh over turned, trapping the driver in a water filled ditch. Water was filling the veh when the AbbyPD officer swam in and successfully pulled the driver to safety. No serious injuries to driver

CANTF1 has ceased operations until morning. All occupants stuck between slides near Agassiz have been evacuated with the assistance of @canadianforces, Agassiz Fire Dept, and many local resources. Tomorrow the task of slowly searching debris fields begins. #BCStorm #AgassizBC
