This year I've been going through Psalms. Think for a minute, why do we read the Bible? โ€œYears ago the Scripture Union annual card used to include helpful โ€˜pointersโ€™ for our Bible reading โ€” is there a promise to believe, an example to follow, a sin to avoid? Things like that.

For those of you who have wondered what I've been doing each day posting verses from the Bible as my first tweet of the day, and maybe you've wondered why I've been doing it: they're not random. They're from a Bible reading plan by Michael Coley.

@RpsAgainstTrump ๐Ÿ˜‚ Donald Trump saying Ronald Reagan โ€œloved tariffsโ€ is like saying Elvis hated music, Einstein was terrible at math, and Mother Teresa loved luxury yachts. Reagan vetoed Congressโ€™s tariff bill in 1985, called protectionism โ€œeconomic suicide,โ€ and fought his own party to keep

Here is important Reagan speech in April 1988 on free trade agreement between Canada and USA https://t.co/hHIYYTfURZ Listening to Reagan's articulate speech, one can see why Trump is so anxious to censor references to Reagan's speeches on trade.

It's an ill wind that blows no good... In a 5-minute video people can get a quick cogent econ lesson on tariffs, trade wars, Smoot-Hawley and the suffering of the Great Depression. The Great Communicator still speaks.

Five quick notes on how to read a study: 1) read the abstract 2) skip to the methods 3) try and figure out if the method(s) they used justifies their conclusion 4) try and guess the limitations before you read the limitation section 5) read the limitation section

And shame on the @RonaldReagan foundation. Reagan's message was actually HARSHER on tariffs than the quotes used in the ad. The ad actually SOFTENED THE CRITICISM OF TRUMP! There is no spin here that would argue that Reagan would've been ok with these tariffs.

This is such an embarrassing take by the @RonaldReagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. Please do listen and compare. Iโ€™m not sure which legal options they think theyโ€™ll be pursuing for using audio and video from a former presidentโ€™s public address.

โ€œSo, soon, because of the prices made artificially high by tariffs that subsidize inefficiency and poor management, people stop buying. Then the worst happens: Markets shrink and collapse; businesses and industries shut down; and millions of people lose their jobs.

โ€œHigh tariffs inevitably lead to retaliation by foreign countries and the triggering of fierce trade wars. The result is more and more tariffs, higher and higher trade barriers, and less and less competition.

I work every other weekend and on Sundays I would take a break and go to church for choir. In the plant you can hear church service over radio at certain stations. Now I have my headset on with church and watch it on my phone during work beside my laptop. #HealthyFaithChat
