โto bring one's beliefs out into the open... implied the truth one lived by was valid through and through and that its writ ran everywhere.โ Derek Kidner

This year I've been going through Psalms. Think for a minute, why do we read the Bible? โYears ago the Scripture Union annual card used to include helpful โpointersโ for our Bible reading โ is there a promise to believe, an example to follow, a sin to avoid? Things like that.
For those of you who have wondered what I've been doing each day posting verses from the Bible as my first tweet of the day, and maybe you've wondered why I've been doing it: they're not random. They're from a Bible reading plan by Michael Coley.

Trump: They cheated on a commercial. Ronald Reagan loved tariffs and they said he didn't. It was AI or something. They cheated badly. Canada got caught cheating on a commercial Trump is lying. The ad used real Reagan audio of him speaking against tariffs

@RpsAgainstTrump ๐ Donald Trump saying Ronald Reagan โloved tariffsโ is like saying Elvis hated music, Einstein was terrible at math, and Mother Teresa loved luxury yachts. Reagan vetoed Congressโs tariff bill in 1985, called protectionism โeconomic suicide,โ and fought his own party to keep

Here is important Reagan speech in April 1988 on free trade agreement between Canada and USA https://t.co/hHIYYTfURZ Listening to Reagan's articulate speech, one can see why Trump is so anxious to censor references to Reagan's speeches on trade.

It's an ill wind that blows no good... In a 5-minute video people can get a quick cogent econ lesson on tariffs, trade wars, Smoot-Hawley and the suffering of the Great Depression. The Great Communicator still speaks.
@atrupar Lol, oh man: "Now, thanks to Trumpโs meltdown, millions more people are watching Reaganโs actual words. And learning that Trumpโs entire tariff philosophy directly contradicts what Reagan believed and said." https://t.co/YTu1A9f4lw

Five quick notes on how to read a study: 1) read the abstract 2) skip to the methods 3) try and figure out if the method(s) they used justifies their conclusion 4) try and guess the limitations before you read the limitation section 5) read the limitation section

And shame on the @RonaldReagan foundation. Reagan's message was actually HARSHER on tariffs than the quotes used in the ad. The ad actually SOFTENED THE CRITICISM OF TRUMP! There is no spin here that would argue that Reagan would've been ok with these tariffs.

This is such an embarrassing take by the @RonaldReagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. Please do listen and compare. Iโm not sure which legal options they think theyโll be pursuing for using audio and video from a former presidentโs public address.

Andrรฉe Geulen saved hundreds of Jewish children during the Holocaust by keeping coded records of their original identities, enabling many to reunite with their families post-war. She was honoured as 'Righteous Among the Nations' in 1989. Remember her actions:

โSo, soon, because of the prices made artificially high by tariffs that subsidize inefficiency and poor management, people stop buying. Then the worst happens: Markets shrink and collapse; businesses and industries shut down; and millions of people lose their jobs.

โHigh tariffs inevitably lead to retaliation by foreign countries and the triggering of fierce trade wars. The result is more and more tariffs, higher and higher trade barriers, and less and less competition.

Reagan: Radio Address to the Nation on Free and Fair Trade April 25, 1987 He speaks specifically on a tariff re Japan not enforcing a trade agreement on semiconductors. Reagan then addresses the issue of tariffs. Read it yourself. https://t.co/SaCpfDu3Vh

โAmericaโs most recent experiment with protectionism was a disaster for the working men and women of this country. . . The actual result was the Great Depression, the worst economic catastrophe in our history; one out of four Americans were thrown out of work.โ Ronald Reagan

I work every other weekend and on Sundays I would take a break and go to church for choir. In the plant you can hear church service over radio at certain stations. Now I have my headset on with church and watch it on my phone during work beside my laptop. #HealthyFaithChat
Q11. Can you share some TIPS or TESTIMONIES of how you observe, enjoy, and are blessed by the Sabbath? โ How do you accomplish this if youโre raising several small children, are a caregiver for an elderly loved one, or have another demanding job? #HealthyFaithChat

I hate being hurried but struggle to be still. โThe Sabbath feels more like a day of stress than a day of rest,โ Iโve said. โHow do you cease from work, as God says in His Word, when youโre a womanโฆ
