After more bouncing and some honest, person-centred planning, he looked up and asked: “Are we locking this in?” Absolutely we are locking this in. This is what getting it right looks like - meeting young people where they are, and letting them take the lead.

Today we held a young person’s planning meeting at a trampoline park. We talk a lot about children’s voice, but rarely change the conditions to truly centre it. This time, we bounced, talked, and watched him lead the planning conversation with confidence. He was exceptional.
