Acc to Prof Stuart Russell at @EthicsInAI colloquium last night, the growth we’ve achieved in AI betw 2018 and 2023 can be paralleled to difference betw walking to Glastonbury (if I heard correctly), from Oxford, and walking to the sun - but we might now be in for AI mega-winter

We know we are living in dangerous times when the leader of the opposition - emboldened no doubt by Trump’s disregard for the rule of law - seems to be suggesting the UK should ignore the rulings of international courts and tribunals.
