This song is a dedication to him, an apology, a way to honour his memory and an attempt to let him know he was loved all the way to the end.

Butch is the most personal song I've ever written and it's named after a very close friend I lost to suicide in 2018. There's not a day that goes past where I don't think about him and wish he was still with us.

In retrospect I realise it kind of serves as a cornerstone for the rest of the album and despite almost quitting on it multiple times it turned out to be one of my favourite songs on the record. Sisyphus out now. 🪲 https://t.co/i6khS6NKpR

Endit was developed over a couple of years and has been through 4 or 5 distinctly different versions. Similar to "Touch" the final version crystallised when I brought over vocals @rromarinlite had recorded for another song and instantly knew that was it.

I'd listen to early demo's while running and for whatever reason the urgency of it permanently connected images of greyhounds running in my brain. Sisyphus out now. 🪲

Hound was born from that arpeggiated synth from the intro. I was obsessed with the idea of pushing a song driven by chords and melody as far as I could without overcooking it with too many layers.
