The 555 timer is one of those neat little chips that enables quite the variety of usages really. I think it's a suitable includement to the PCB as it is so versatile.

Someone asked what 555 timer is. The poll doesn't save any contact info so I just do a brief answer here. "The 555 timer IC is an integrated circuit (chip) used in a variety of timer, delay, pulse generation, and oscillator applications." It is a versatile little thing.

I made some PCB hardware 2-3 years ago, and just started to go back to it to finish it up. I also made this variant less complex (and thus it will be cheaper), but I wanted to see interest in this so I made this simple 1 min poll https://t.co/K2s18euGWw

I started doing hardware design 2-3 years ago, but then shortage of chips happened and I put that work on pause. Now I wanted to go back and finish it up, and I am pretty far into it, but I figured I...

I will probably do a separate slimmed down version to test the last things. Alternatively I do a small batch as the hole complete thing with all fixes I've found and anyone that want to take a small chance of some flaw still being there, but get a board early could join. #golang

I was hoping to finish up the new hardware I'm working on so people could get it for Christmas. But that would have been to stressful, and I don't want to rush it out with flaws. I prefer spending extra time to quality test, and made some major progress. #golang

After ridiculously amount of time doing improvements and fixing issues, this is now currently under production for a small batch, which I will test before doing any mass-production. Super exciting though! Really hope people will end up liking this! #golang
