✨ Rydyn ni'n falch iawn ✨  We are very proud! Children in LRB1 (K Small) had lots of fun last week. They enjoyed colouring and collaging flowers, learning some Welsh songs, playing football and dressing up for Welsh week. #future Welsh football stars Da iawn pawb!

Our Year 2 pupils had a wonderful time taking part in our school Eisteddfod on Friday. They sang Welsh songs with enthusiasm, performed their recitations with growing confidence, and showcased their brilliant folk dancing skills. It was a joy to watch their talents shine.Da iawn

Digwyddiadau’r wythnos – This week’s events.. A huge llongfyrchiadau ( congrats ) to all our our Eisteddfod participants. The way you sang and performed was simply brilliant . Huge congratulations to Scarlett Brown and Troy Powell for winning the bard’s chair.

IA 1.1 - Shwmae! Children in nursery class SJ are having lots of fun learning all about Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 for Welsh week. The children decorated the Welsh flags. Watched some videos all about St David’s Day and why we celebrate it. Da iawn pawb 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌼🏉 🐑

Before half term we learnt how to be safe online through internet safety week . We created information posters to explain to children some of the dangers online and how we can stay safe ! Diolch yn fawr am eich cefnogaeth – Thank you very much for your support.

✨ Llawer o hwyl! ✨ Children in LRB1 (K Small) had lots of fun during the last week of term. Children listened very carefully to some E-Safety and took part in some relaxation and RPB wellbeing activities. There were lots of smiles and dances for our daily song time

We are aiming to achieve our Siarter Iaith award in Welsh by next month. We have been working very hard towards this and our Criw Cymraeg form years 2,4 and 6 have been great at leading us - along with Mrs Jenkins who is our parent helper in Welsh . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Newyddion yr wythnos … this week’s news ; 6RB So last week we welcomed in some medical students who talked to the children about going to university and also about pursuing careers in the medical field . They learnt a lot about the human body and had great fun too.

✨ Llawer o hwyl!! ✨ Children in LRB1 (K Small) have had lots of fun this week. They really enjoyed using the forest school, learning how a fire starts and toasting some yummy marshmallows. Flasus iawn (very tasty!) Da iawn pawb! 😊

IA1.2 - Year 2 CE/NB developed their money skills by recognising different coins and using them to make amounts during a shop role-play activity. They identified coins by name and value and combined them to find different totals when buying items.

IA1.2: In maths last week the children in nursery and reception explored capacity by predicting and measuring how many cups it would take to fill different containers of different shapes and sizes. Da iawn

Year 2 AC have been busy investigating tunnels! The children explored famous tunnels from around the world and learned about a well-known local tunnel in Merthyr Tydfil – the Morlais Tunnel.

✨ Gwaith da!! ✨ Children in LRB1 (KS) have had a very busy week! They have enjoyed the trim trail, walked to Cyfarthfa park, practised tooth brushing, taken part in 'in and out' activities and travelled in different ways using an obstacle course.

IA1.2 - Year 2 CE/NB learnt about local tunnels and tunnels from around the world, discovering how and why they are built. They explored different tunnel designs through a range of resources and practical activities. Da iawn pawb!! 👏 👍

Gwaith Ysbrydoledig - Inspirational work ! Newyddion yr wythnos – This week’s news 🗞️ … We ve had a busy week or so ! First up is our new Clwb Lego, which is run every Monday lunchtime in Miss Bennett’s class for Yr 5/6. Gwaith gwych – Great work everyone 🌎 x

✨ Gwaith da!! ✨ Children in LRB1 (KS) have enjoyed lots of 'up and down' and money activities this week. They loved playing and recognising money (with support), singing songs, taking part in lots of up and down activities and using beebots.

Digwyddiadau’r wythnos – This week’s events Shwmae pawb! So this lunchtime was the first Welsh LEGO club! Clwb LEGO! It was a roaring success with children turning up to play, learn and speak Welsh through the medium of LEGO! Today they learnt how to adeiladu ( build) ships 🚢

✨ Gwaith da!! ✨ Children in LRB1 (KS) and Bridge (LW) really enjoyed going to the ICC sensory room. They loved the bus journey there and also seeing the lights, lamps, soft play aswell as the interactive wall. They really can't wait to go again! Da iawn pawb! 😊

IA 1.3 -Year 2 CE/NB thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Cyfarthfa Castle today as part of their new topic, Towers, Tunnels and Turrets. 🏰 Da iawn pawb! 👏
