There was a 3.3 earthquake near me in the mountains by Yucaipa last night. Didn't feel it, but that's not unusual if it's under 4.0, I rarely notice the minor quakes. Google had an image of devastated buildings & the story was about our minor quake. AI is so dramatic. 😆

Just said to myself "gotta add my oils" and laughed when I realized what it sounded like. Was so not talking about "essential oils" with lavender or eucalyptus or whatever the crazy rich moms are into. I meant hot chili oil and sesame oil!

Someone found my IMDb recently. It wasn't a project I expected to officially be attached to, but I did the work. I was checking to see if any of my recent short films got added (no) & saw I need to run interference on a few people before they think it means I "got my break"! 😅

Things I never thought I'd ever say (especially repeatedly)... "Castiel, we don't eat plastic!" Yes, I say this daily at a minimum. Cas loves chewing on plastic, but she's not a biter or chewer of anything else. I think she likes the sound it makes. Funny cat quirks.

So, I did a thing earlier this week...

I got a faux wedding ring off Amazon. I'm filming a project in which I'm married & there's going to be hand stuff. No sex stuff. It came today & I put it on. I thought of Russ & how we never got to have this because cancer took him. I cried. It's been 9 years & I'm still not OK.

The rest of the neighborhood has been remarkably devoid of fireworks for this night. People finally smartened up.

It's actually a police drone (based off it's manuevering and silence) and it's now flying close to the idiot neighbors setting stuff off in the street!

There's a helicopter in the sky here chilling in place, and I think they are REALLY going to go hard on the illegal fireworks this year.

Aaaannnd the hills are a-fire agggaaaiiinnn! I might be able to see the flames from my bedroom tonight. It's been a hot minute since the last time I was able to see flames in the mountains around here. Yes scary, but also pretty. I could find the silver lining in an apocalypse.

If I weren't concerned about it environmentally, I'd be down for reenacting the Boston Tea Party but in CA w/Diet Coke & costumed really badly as faux Icy agents on Sat (hmm, maybe one of those plastic kiddie pools instead of a harbor). That would irk the TACO wannabe king.
