But from the program’s perspective, I think the we need to honor the players who choose to stay and let the other schools honor those who don’t stay. I don’t think that’s being disrespectful, no more than those players are being disrespectful when they transfer away.

Personally, I still keep track of players who transfer out of the program, and I certainly wish them success. I can never begrudge a player’s decision to leave, whether it’s for money or what they feel is a better opportunity. They have to make their own decisions.

It's shameful that Stanford football refuses to honor players who made it to the NFL just because they transferred. Their success still started on The Farm — they deserve recognition. Especially so, players who graduated with degrees at STANFORD should be recognized. 🤷🏼♂️.
