My favorite time management rule: If you procrastinate long enough, the task might just solve itself!

Would you amend your commit message if you made a typo on the first try?

Got my new MacBook Air, and I have to say: Apple experience absolutely amazes me! In just a couple of hours, I was able to clone everything from iMac, and wow, it was instantly ready to use with everything installed and configured just how I like it.

I've noticed these small details, and now they completely frustrate my inner perfectionist! The table in the picture and the block underneath should be aligned.

TIL, that if an element is flex or grid, you have to set `min-width` to 0 to let it shrink. Years of doing CSS and flex/grid still manage to frustrate me sometimes…

Morning golf is a perfect start of a great day! I’m still learning, but feels good to be able to play. Even on a practice course.

I think I’ve finally grown as a senior software developer. I got a PR to review today, and for once, I didn’t feel that constant urge to rewrite everything. Not that the PR was perfect. It was good enough and I’m finally ok with it.

What is your favorite charting library nowadays? I’m quite comfortable with D3, but sometimes it’s too low level for small and simple tasks. I then fall back to ChartJS, though I’m curious of good alternatives. #dataviz

Did you know there are no zip codes in the UAE? If someone sends you a package or letter, you either need to rent a PO box in advance or track the parcel and call the post office directly to schedule delivery. If your phone number is listed on the package, they might call you —

I got a new guilty pleasure recently! I read the BestofRedditorUpdates subreddit and I became a little bit obsessed with it. Some of the stories feel like crazy novels and I’m not sure I believe them to be fully true. Very interesting waste of time, really!

Yesterday I read about the "Hemingway Effect." He would pause his work at the most interesting point, making it easier to return to it the next day. It's a cool trick, but for me, unfinished tasks feel like anchors, pulling at my mind! How does it work for you?

The great novelist didn’t burn himself out — but learned when to put his work down. His strategy is now known as the "Hemingway effect."

Trying out a new routine this year. After a slow breakfast, I set a timer for 2-3 hours to work on personal things. I leave my phone out of reach, turn off messengers, and fully focus. Feels good so far. Dunno, when it’ll bite me with a snowball of unfinished tasks, though.
