In the early days of @parkrun we were told children under the age of 14 shouldn’t run 5k. So far, those crazy little people have completed 3.8 million 5k parkruns, had a bucket-load of fun, and made us all smile. The lesson? Never listen to grown-ups 😎

For me, mile 23 & on was where I felt like I was going to die. At mi 24, during a stretch where you’re alone with no sideline support, a stranger yelled to me “get out of your own head, YOU’VE GOT THIS.” Whoever you are, thank you. I repeated that to myself the rest of the race.

At the moment we are ON for tomorrow. However the RD and setup team will carry out a further inspection of the course at 8.15am tomorrow. Any change of plan will be posted on our Facebook page.
