After answering one notification, all the rest of them have disappeared. If I don’t answer for awhile that’s why. I saw all of them, but now they’re blank….

How we wish there were many more @HeatherPar81917 s in this world! Look at these gorgeous horses!.
Goldie’s Sis (Liberty) is the first horse I have rescued. This was the turning point that made me realize she’s no longer the rescue mare, she’s just a part of the family. Added bonus points if you can tell which one is the quarter horse from all the TB’s 😂

Surfer was also happy and relaxed about a bath and grooming afterward. He was a true champ. And K made him realize that. “freeze” is one of the best words a human can teach a horse.

And K never missed a beat. She and Surfer went on and did their workout. He was a bit stunned, but settled after getting into the grind. It was important for him to move on from the crisis. And concentrate on the team.

What was wonderful about it is that in a crisis, Surfer believed K was on his team. He trusted her. And everything turned out ok, when things could have become bleak quickly.

K saw it immediately and said “Surfer, freeze!” And bless his heart, Surfer froze with his front leg in the air. And K released his rope halter so he could escape. He was so grateful. As was K.

Surfer had a scare today. He accidentally wedged his soft tied lead line into the corner of the arena gate, then stepped over it with one leg, effectively trapping himself. He panicked and pulled back, the lead line wrapping tight around his front leg.

Pixie made K chase her again, but she finally got her meds three times today! Her eye is looking good! And she’s playful…
