I am honored to lead the first White House Office of Domestic Climate Policy. My goal is to marshal our entire government, engage every community, harness the forces of science and the values of environmental justice – all to build a healthier and more just world.

The President-elect has put together the strongest climate plan ever raised to this level of leadership because he knows the threat of climate change is the fight of our lifetimes. It’s up to us to build a better future for generations of Americans to come.

We need to meet the threat of climate change with the urgency it demands — and seize the opportunity to build back better. Tune in as I introduce members of my climate team who will get it done.

Growing up, I could see, taste, and feel pollution. I learned early on that every person deserves clean air, clean water, and a stable climate. Fulfilling that promise has been the work of my life. I do it for my two (soon to be three!) grandchildren and yours.

We have no time to waste to confront the climate crisis, protect our air and water, and deliver justice to communities that have long shouldered the burdens of environmental harms. Together, on behalf of all Americans, this team will meet this moment with the urgency it demands.
