Huge congratulations @rookisaacman!! You are an extraordinary leader and pick for this role. I’m extremely excited about the future of space exploration!.
I am honored to receive President Trump’s @realDonaldTrump nomination to serve as the next Administrator of NASA. Having been fortunate to see our amazing planet from space, I am passionate about America leading the most incredible adventure in human history. On my last mission.

You might not be able to tell it’s coffee, but it is! @SpaceX used frozen coffee pouches as the ice cubes in our cooler. Take one out, thaw it, and voilà! Cold-brew coffee! Loved sharing space coffee with you @annawmenon ☕️ ❤️.

It’s like being a kid at Christmas when you finally get to see the pictures you and your crew took in space for the first time!. I’m obsessed with the details. the moon setting behind earth, the plume of the forward bulkhead thrusters firing, the way the sun lights the water. .

The Earth is unfathomably beautiful from orbit. This captures a tiny fraction of the perspective and raw beauty we saw during the mission. 🌎🌍🌏. Thank you @SpaceX for capturing these views and helping preserve the memories. The sound of thrusters firing will forever be one of.
Views from Dragon in flight 🐉🌎. During its five day mission, Dragon and the Polaris Dawn crew completed 75 orbits around Earth

It was an immense effort by so many people to make every part of this mission possible. Couldn't be prouder to be part of the @SpaceX + @PolarisProgram team, and a part of this crew. I look forward to sharing more as things calm down and we have some time to reflect. For now,
We are back on Earth and look forward to sharing the results and our experiences with all of you. The scientists and doctors rightfully own all of our time for the next few days, but I did want to share a few thoughts as I reflect on our mission and what we set out to accomplish.

She sure looks beautiful on the pad 🐉 . Awesome time flying with the crew, keeping skills sharp while we wait for weather to clear!.
The Polaris team conducted a flyover at Kennedy Space Center on Tuesday with Falcon 9 and Dragon vertical on pad 39A. Thanks to @NASAKennedy, @SLDelta45, and @SpaceX for the support

Great update on our current status!.
I wanted to share some updates:. - The primary factor driving the launch timing for Polaris Dawn is the splashdown weather within Dragon's limits. Unlike an ISS mission, we don’t have the option to delay long on orbit, so we must ensure the forecast is as favorable as possible

Great summary of where we’re at, weather is going to be a challenge given launch and return requirements. Scrubbing for the next few launch opportunities, but ready to go once a weather window opens!.
Our launch criteria are heavily constrained by forecasted splashdown weather conditions. With no ISS rendezvous and limited life support consumables, we must be absolutely sure of reentry weather before launching. As of now, conditions are not favorable tonight or tomorrow, so.

We’re officially scrubbed for today, but the @SpaceX team is doing awesome work to ensure all systems are 100% ready for launch!
Teams are taking a closer look at a ground-side helium leak on the Quick Disconnect umbilical. Falcon and Dragon remain healthy and the crew continues to be ready for their multi-day mission to low-Earth orbit. Next launch opportunity is no earlier than Wednesday, August 28 →.

Dry-dress complete, Dragon Resilience looks beautiful inside! The new car smell was successfully removed by the SpaceX materials team during thermal vacuum chamber bake-out.
It’s dry-dress day! We’ll be walking through a full simulation of launch day, everything before loading fuel on the rocket. Can’t wait to be reunited with Resilience! 🐉🚀

Super excited to be flying research experiments from my alma mater @CUBoulder - the PI on this eye experiment was one of my bioastronautics professors! Sko Buffs! 🦬 💛.
The Polaris Dawn crew will wear smart contact lenses in space to monitor their intraocular pressure, in efforts to learn more about Spaceflight Associated Neuroocular Syndrome, or SANS, as part of a University of Colorado Boulder research experiment. This is just one of 36
