3 years ago I would warn VCs that the market pull for AI is nearly infinite and we would run out of power. They would laugh. No one is laughing anymore. The need for more power-efficient compute has now become abundantly clear.

Moravec's paradox: the world of atoms is orders of magnitude harder to solve for than the world of words / bits.
Peter Thiel famously quipped that we asked for flying cars and got 140 characters. While this app is hardly the most useless web 2.0 creation, this misallocation of capital is playing out in AI. People's lives would measurably be improved by application of these tools in the.

Weaponizing inertia of collective beliefs. IYKYK.
If @Extropic_AI @GillVerd Theory is correct, they are a decade ahead of any other AI hardware company. By the time the prove it, it'll take a while for competitors to adapt while everyone will want Extropic chips.

Was great to go on @twistartups.
HUGE show coming up in just a few moments! @alex is chatting with another triumvirate of great founders! First, from Tennr, @TreyHolterman tells us about the rapid adoption of AI in the medical space. Then, @Extropic_AI's @gillverd tells us about building next-gen AI chips. .

Re: Landauer limit, for the bad faith idiots in the room.
@DaveShapi @Extropic_AI Moore's law was for deterministic compute. We have broken past Moore's wall. Arguably Landauer's limit is the only real limit, but pbits are basically fractional bits & you only need to pay the "KL edit distance" energetically, so that can be < ln2* kT since it can be <1 bit.

Fun interview with @mjdramstead @MLStreetTalk, for the more technically inclined. Full episode coming soon!.
Nature gives us probabilistic inference from stochastic-thermodynamic dynamics of populations of particles like electrons. We have created pbits from it by creating platforms where we control such physics. Started in superconductors, now in silicon.
