A busy afternoon of STEM for @saintandrewsps P3/4. First they explored unplugged computing science using Vex123, code n go mouse, code n go tiles and Beebots. Creative coding inc dances and tunnels. In science we explored how to stop ice melting using different materials 🤖🥼

At #Assembly today we talked about the #MetaSkill of Leadership, as we look to elect members of our #PupilCouncil for each class. We talked about #ChildrensRights - Knowing about our rights and No Discrimination. We also discussed our forthcoming #AntiBullying Policy 🧠🫶🏫

After lunch, P6/7 @GisbeyMrs had the opportunity to explore renewable energy with Christy from @Wind4Kids They displayed problem solving, perseverance, communication and collaboration skills. The excitement on constructing a working wind turbine was infectious 🌬️@saintandrewsps

After break today @P6_5MrsMillar explored renewable energy with Christy from @Wind4Kids She set a challenge to construct a wind turbine. Lots of collaboration, communication and problem solving on show @saintandrewsps #metaskills

Linked with their novel, Kensuke’s Kingdom & following on from last week’s design challenge to design a boat, P5/6 carried out a fair test to find the best shape for boat. Our winning design supported 114 hexagons ⛵️ 🙌🏻@saintandrewsps @P6_5MrsMillar
