As an announcer, I've been on the mic during 5 fatal accidents. EVERY time, the event continued. I'm not going to second guess the decision at the time, but I DO believe what we're seeing tonight is an indication that perhaps we should re-thing that policy in the future. .

So. by my count, 162 full size sprint cars raced in Pennsylvania Saturday night: 56 410's (29 Port Royal, 27 Lincoln), 28 360's (URC Port Royal), 17 358's (Lincoln), and 61 305's (39 Port Royal, 22 Grandview). Sprint car racing is certainly not dead, but IS divided.

MY OPINION on the Bernal-McDougal incident: sucks that it happened that way, but if you're going to DQ a driver for that you're opening up a HUGE can of worms. I've seen FAR worse. Can't let circumstances influence the call. Would Bernal have been DQ'd if that was for 11th?.
