Important distinction Chad brings up. It's vital that providers understand the difference between pain adjusted OUD prevalence and non pain adjusted. Don't want to be mis-attributing what the risk of OUD is in patients taking long term opioid therapy!!.
Let me clarify that. @US_FDA did not abandon the concept of pain-adjusted OUD prevalence, but they sure tried to bury it!!
