At lunch today, I was invited to sit in on a training session with election officials from GA’s Region 8 & Region 12. Over 40 people from across the state came to Lee County to meet & participate in tabletop exercises on cybersecurity, sponsored by the Secretary of State and CISA

While I am honored to receive this award, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge all the great work from the board members and club members that helped make this past year possible.

At last night’s Exchange Club of Lee County meeting, I was presented with the 2023-2024 Distinguished Charter Club President Award from the National Exchange Club.

Just dropped off my favorite Trojan in Birmingham to complete for the title of Miss Alabama. Today at kickoff they held a Meet The Crowns Ceremony. SJ was named a finalist for her community service work. I can’t wait to watch Miss Troy University shine on the Miss Alabama Stage.

For the past 18 months I’ve served as The President of The Exchange Club of Lee County. Tonight I handed over the gavel as we installed new officers. It’s bittersweet but I’m excited about the future of the club and the impact we will continue to make on our community.

A month ago we were watching The Braves and Eli said, “Daddy. I’ve never been to a Braves game.” So, today a core memory was locked. Joe & Eli attended their first game.

It’s always a nice plus to see some of the guys I’ve coached in football over the years. This event is always powerful and it’s one that I look forward to it every year.

Today was the 9th annual “Ties That Bind”. Community leaders ate lunch with young men and we listened to keynote speakers talk about what it takes to be successful in life. During this time we got the chance to have meaningful conversations and teach these boys how to tie a tie.

Loved getting to be apart of The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Go See It Tour of @AlbanyTech. We got to see a lot of amazing things they have to offer. But I’m especially excited about building workforce development partnerships with Albany Tech and our GP Corrugated site.

And with that the 2023 Warrior Football Season comes to an end… Tonight each player received a Kukui Nut Lei Necklace. This gift is significant to Hawaiian Culture because it symbolizes respect and strength when presented to another.
