Let me save all the unscientific debunkers (trolls) some time.
Yes, I'm doing geological and genomic SETI research.
No, there isn't any proof of aliens in the genomic or geological records.
In fact, there is very little proof of anything anywhere. Scientific research isn't…
@GeologicalSETI
I’m an investigator. A criminal one who understands the burden of proof. So I’m with you on a scientific inquiry. I also understand what is and more importantly what is NOT evidence or for those that like the term ‘proof’. Ufology falls apart literally on this concept.

1)I fully agree with you, it's just about the current claims that we are in possession of extraterrestrial flying objects and their crews!
@GeologicalSETI
an issue at present is the recent interest in the subject has flooded the forums of discourse with mountains of new data (images, videos) and with it comes a slew of uncritical (gullible) commentary, the signal is completely drowned out by the noise and it is not helping anyone
@swagamemn0n
With respect it sounds like you are talking about ufology while my post is about genomic and geological SETI. These are not part of ufology. I don't see much more interest in these two fields as yet, maybe a little but not very noticeable. UAP is flavour of the day.
@GeologicalSETI
"No, there isn't any proof of aliens in the genomic or geological records."
The idea of Panspermia, as exemplified in the movie "2001" offers a credible explanation about why the "overlords" never left a physical record when they visited Earth and then left. I dunno how to prove
@lump_t
It can't be proved, scientific research isn't about proving anything. Panspermia is a topic that has evidence in it's favor, what is needed is to offer a strong evidence supported hypothesis or theory. If it is strong enough then most people will accept it as accurate.
@JohnsonSmither
I personally don't find time travel convincing. My current conviction is that it's not ever going to be possible for humans to travel back in time. Other than in their consciousness anyway. I appreciate that all hypotheses should be considered though.
@GeologicalSETI
How likely would it be we would find a patch at the bottom of the ocean approximately a quarter square mile consistently emitting a steady anomalous amount of heat?
