A repeating debate in ufology is over the lack of objective evidence vs apparently overwhelming anecdotal evidence. Let me clarify why both are true, but how it still arcs back to lacking evidence to clarify anything. We all accept physical evidence is pretty sparse at best,…

@GeologicalSETI It’s what John Keel said years ago. Don’t study the ufo’s study the witnesses.

@memizon I very much agree with Keel, one of the only significant breakthroughs of the last few years is the brain analysis of close encounter experiencers in which it was found that an unexpectedly high number had unusually enlarged caudate-putamen. If more analysis was done we would…

@GeologicalSETI Computers can analyze the anecdotal and hard evidence a million different ways using Big Data & AI: - look for repeating patterns - break down the patterns into measurable elements - Program if-then-else steps to get repeatable elements. #ufotwitter

@MajorCirca It would be great to see this done, it's not an area I'm able to help with as I don't know anything about creating these programs.

@GeologicalSETI So we just ignore the guys who claim that dozens or hundreds of extraterrestrial craft have crashed and been recovered along with the little green pilots? 🤦‍♂️

@andalp1 Read my tweet. Then following that do whatever seems appropriate to you based on the thousands of conflicting witness accounts. 🥴👍

@GeologicalSETI If by anecdotal evidence you mean claims then that’s where I’ll rebut you. Claims are not evidence. Claims need to be corroborated by material(s) that can survive independent scrutiny. All the rest is bunk.

@fredericks44 Personal witness accounts are evidence, but of the weakest type and not considered reliable for scientific purposes.

@GeologicalSETI My only real rebuttal is that at this stage, this is a sociological issue, not a scientific one. Our focus on “science“ in relation to this phenomenon is grossly misplaced and premature. When Native Americans observe the pilgrims landing on the North American continent, for…

@GeologicalSETI There are far too many hoaxes, lies, and financially incentivized grifts to take anyone's word on this. We need clear, tangible, and verifiable evidence as proof. There can be no vagueness in the conclusion, it must be irrefutable and clear.

@GeologicalSETI First, your description of the diverse nature of UFO / NHI witness evidence seems biased and exaggerated, as if the uncommon extremes could erase the value of the common narrative. The coherence of UFO witness data increases if you narrow it to witness who are professionally…

@GeologicalSETI I can’t get past the timing… The powers that be have caused unprecedented levels of chaos, is this simply a distraction? I’d love to believe we’re awakening to a new paradigm that will move humanity forward, but I’m cautious.

@GeologicalSETI Good point, but not so much with military and police accounts. Yes they vary, but they are presumptively more accurate, such as the shut down of nuclear weapons at two separate US bases coinciding with the UFOs appearance as recounted by two missile silo military operators.
