In fact, the case was against the government of the day, which was unconstitutionally and ublawfully attempting to take control of criminal proceedings and undermine his powers to ensure impartial prosecutions.

It insinuates I advised the Mauritian government prior to the Chagos deal’s announcement on October 3. That is untrue. The director of prosecutions is a constitutionally independent office in Mauritius. He has nothing to do with the government.
