“Education is a gift of hope,” sang Gendap scholarship recipient Vivian, along with other girls from our education partner @Uganda Empowers at a recent studio recording session. The lyrics will encourage girls’ education, female property rights and female leadership.

Our education partner Hands in Outreach had teams on the ground assessing damage to homes of scholarship girls after deadly flooding. Thankfully, no girls were lost! HIO also provided safe havens for families and replaced the girls’ lost uniforms and school supplies.
