1/ Being part of the Canada/Qc initiative, facilitating children discussions on #ChildRights, #environment & #climatechange was an energizing, yet humbling process. Their demands to adults are quite clear and connect directly to their rights as children.

A young person from the Phoenix Consultation shared that the biggest environmental problem facing our generation is the "lack of Indigenous ways of being in our systems of governance. We are not separate from nature, rather part of nature." 🍃

I usually think of #ChildrensParticipation at the institutional level (city, school, hospital), but rarely in the household. Being a #newmom reminds me of the impact I'll have on a person from its earliest time. Is there such a thing as a mom ethics for #ChildrensRights? (2/2)

My mom observed that I addressed my newborn as a human being, asking consent and informing her of things I was doing. She said that it wasn't always the case as people often think newborns don't have agency since e.g. they can't talk (1/2). #MothersDay #childrights
